Mark Ruben Ceballos was born on April 16, 1961 in Flagstaff, Arizona.  Mark passed away in his sleep on May 5, 2019 at the age of 58.

Mark was the first of three children born to his parents, Ruben Ceballos and Mary Frances Lopez Valdez.  Mark had a spark for life like no other child that followed him throughout.  He grew up in Flagstaff with his family where he learned to love the forest and excelled in youth sports.  He graduated from Coconino High School in 1979 earning letters in wrestling and football.  Mark enjoyed and took pride in 35 years of work in the world of concrete.  All around town in every nook and cranny of shops, businesses, schools and homes, you know that Mark was there.   Mark enjoyed the outdoors more than anything.  He loved rifle and archery hunting, wood cutting, varmint hunting and the forest in the moonlight.  Highlights of his big fish tales were catching a Mako Shark off the California Coast and deep-sea fishing in the Baja Pacific Coast with his son Chad.   Sky diving was his ultimate thrill.  Mark reveled in and cherished the company of family and good friends.  He was loved by many and will be truly missed.

Mark is survived by three children: Chad Archer, Mary Deal, Chelsea Vasquez (Jacob) and three grandchildren; father, Ruben Ceballos; sisters:  Suzanne Ceballos-Borneman (Gary), and Linda Ceballos-Morgan (Fred) and many nieces and nephews.  He is preceded in death by his mother, Mary Frances Lopez Valdez; his grandparents:  Raymundo and Luz Ceballos and Bruno and Socorro Lopez.

Later in life Mark developed a mass in his head and suffered a debilitating neurological disorder that drastically altered his life.  For Mark, this became a private battle.  He stayed close to his immediate family and his beloved cat, Goldie, kept him going.  Mark appreciated his medical team for their persistent efforts in healing.

For his friends, he expressed that he wants you to remember him in the good times.  Mark will continue his spirit journey at the cone, upon “Deer Killer Ridge”, and will see you again.

To Mark, our son, brother, father, uncle, friend, cousin, nephew, Caveman - you are loved and will be missed.  Rest in peace and fly with the angels in heaven.

At Mark’s request there will be no public services.  The family will have a private remembrance at a later date.
