Dolores Chavira Morado was born on April 6, 1937 in Williams, Arizona. Growing up she was known as Dody by her family and friends. She attended South Beaver Elementary, Flagstaff Junior and graduated from Flagstaff High School.
Dolores met Marshall Morado (deceased) when they both worked at the Orpheum Theater. On June 26, 1956 Dolores and Marshall were married at the Guadalupe Church in Flagstaff. Dolores and Marshall began starting a family in 1960 and had their first child, Vivian Morado-Stout (deceased) followed by Eddie Morado and Margaret Morado-Chopas.
Dolores worked at the Flagstaff Library for over 15 years and was an avid reader. She was an active member in the Guadalupe Church and helped with the bereavement lunches. Dolores also enjoyed seeing her grandson Angel Morado sing in his school plays and was a proud Grandma.
Dolores was the sixth of seven children born to Isabel and Marcos Chavira. All of Dolores’s siblings moved to California, the oldest Lupe Jaime (deceased), Marcos Chavira (deceased), Lucy Troncoso (deceased), Jimmy Chavira (deceased), Ralph Chavira (deceased) and Betty Aguilera.
She enjoyed visiting and catching up with family and friends. Dody was a true Flagstaff-er and will be missed.
Services for Dolores will be held on Monday, December 2, 2019 beginning with a rosary at 9:30 am and a funeral mass following at 10:30 am. All services will take place at Our Lady of Guadalupe Chapel, 224 S. Kendrick, Flagstaff, AZ.

Have know your Mom for years but got to visit more with her after your dad died. What a wonderful woman. She was a good example, loving mom and grand mother. How blessed we all were to have had her in our live.

Hello, I didn't know Dolores but I do believe I knew her son, Eddie Morado. That is if this is the same Eddie Morado that I worked with at K-G Men's Store in the Flagstaff Mall many years ago.
If you are the same Eddie I just wanted to send my Condolences. Your mother past on the same day as JFK did in 1963. I know this because it is the same date as my birthday.
You and your family are in my thoughts.
