IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Aaron Tanner
Roybal
December 28, 1987 – October 20, 2015
Aaron Tanner Roybal died Oct. 20, 2015 in Mesa, Ariz. He was 27.
Aaron was born Dec. 28, 1987, in Ocala, Fla. to Peter Roybal and Jan Melear. When Aaron was 7 and a few years after his father died, he moved to Arizona to live with his aunt and uncle, Julia (Roybal) and Larry Newman. Aaron and his cousin, Glenn, were raised as brothers mostly in Mesa until Aaron moved back to his native Florida when he was 18. He attended school in Ocala, obtaining an associate's degree from the College of Central Florida.
Like his father before him, Aaron's sometimes burly appearance belied a gentle and considerate nature, and he wanted nothing more than to be a doting dad to his 4-year-old daughter, Alessandra Roybal, who he called Mini.
Besides his daughter, Aaron's immediate survivors include his mother, Jan Melear; grandmother, Jerri Melear; brother, Shawn Odell; and many loving cousins, aunts and uncles who will remember him as a kind-hearted young man who wanted to surround himself with his family.
Aaron was preceded in death by his father, Peter.
Holy Rosary will be recited at 9:30 a.m. and Mass will be celebrated at 10 a.m. October 30, 2015 at Our Lady of Guadalupe Chapel, 224 S. Kendrick. Interment will follow in Calvary Cemetery.
