Heaven gained the most precious angel, Amy Marie Ulibarri passed from this life January 31, 2026. Her passing was unexpected, leaving her family & friends devastated. Amy was born April 17, 1977, she lived her entire life in Flagstaff, AZ.
Amy attended Flagstaff Public Schools, graduating from Coconino High School in 1995. Her high school years were spent playing softball, volleyball, and managing the girls basketball team. She went to Northern Arizona University, graduating with a bachelor's degree in Elementary Education, Amy did her student teaching at the very school she attended as a child, Killip Elementary. Amy continued her education and earned a Master's degree in Human Relations with distinction from NAU. She did all this while holding down a full-time job.
Amy worked at NAU in the HR department; she was to receive her 25-year service award in March. She also worked part-time for the City of Flag, many nights were spent at the scoring table for adult athletics. Softball, where she was bundled up for Flagstaff's chilly nights, basketball & volleyball along with youth sports at the rec center.
Amy had many loves in her life, her nieces, Abby, Ella & Gracie, at the top of the list. Being their Auntie was the highlight of her life. She loved the 49'ers, the Diamondbacks, monster truck shows, Disneyland, playing softball, she was fearless at 1st base, volleyball, camping, sunsets, drives alone, Snowbowl, and swimming, she was happiest in the water! Amy loved kids & they loved her, they gravitated to her selfless, wholehearted, unconditional love. She was Nina to many Godchildren & that brought her much joy. Flagstaff was home & the number of friends & the lives she touched is beyond comprehension.
Amy was preceded in death by her grandfathers, Filomeno Ulibarri II, & Robert Martinez. Her uncle Filomeno Ulibarri III, and aunt Cindy Martinez-Baserman.
Amy is survived by her father, Art Ulibarri (Terry), mother Robin Sibley (George), sister Sarah (Matthew), nieces Abby, Ella & Grace, all of Flagstaff. Her beloved grandmothers, Juanita Ulibarri, Concho AZ & Janie Martinez, Flagstaff. Many loving aunts, uncles & cousins.
Amy has been described as the bestest of friends, she lived her life with her whole heart, it was evident in everything she did or touched. She had a beautiful smile, a big heart, kind soul, & an impactful presence.
Services will be held at San Francisco de Asis Catholic Church, 1600 E Rte 66, Flagstaff, AZ, Thursday, February 12, 2026. Rosary 10 am, Mass 10:30 am, burial at Calvary Cemetery following the services. Donations in Amy's name can be made to: Teenies for Tots, www.tenniesfortots@gmail.com.
