Maria Ann Napper.The Lord blessed us with her life on July 23, 1920 in Los Angeles and He carried her home on August 4, 2017 in Flagstaff.She spent the first part of her life in Southern California, where she helped raise her siblings during the Depression Era.During World War II, Ann supported our country by painting warplanes at an aviation manufacturing plant, where she met her husband Jack.After marrying, she stayed home to be a wife, homemaker, and mother to her two children.After the passing of her husband, Ann moved to Flagstaff to be near her daughter and grandchildren.Her faith in God kept her strong through life's blessings and challenging times.She was a kind-hearted woman who was a friend to everyone.She enjoyed flower gardening, the Senior Center, and outings with her friends.She was an avid Dodgers fan for 60 years.But overall her greatest joy in life was her family, especially helping to care for her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband Jack Napper, and her sister Olga Borgeson.Ann is survived by her daughter Lorraine (Kim) Mileham, her son Tommy Napper, her brother Frank (Virginia) Rossy, grandchildren Rachel (Matt) King, Kathleen Oquist, Brandon (Ashley) Mileham, Julie Mulvey, Jennie (Keith) Potter, and Marianne Napper, 13 great-grandchildren, and several cousins, nieces and nephews.
A memorial service will be held on Saturday, August 12 at 11:00 a.m. at Lozano's Flagstaff Mortuary.Interment will be at Riverside National Cemetery, Riverside, California at a later date, where she will be laid to rest beside her husband.
