Byron J. Smith (B.J.), 61, of Flagstaff passed away peacefully in his home on May 14, 2017.
B.J. was a devoted husband to his wife Tammy of 34 years.B.J. was born April 15, 1956 in Fort Yates, North Dakota and was very proud of his Sioux heritage.B.J. was a very proud Marine Corp veteran, where he earned the title of All Marine heavy weight boxing champion, he was also an All Marine line backer for the Marine Corp football team.As soon as he was old enough to get his professional rodeo card he became a professional bull rider,
B.J. retired from El Paso Natural Gas Company in 2012, where he worked for 32 years.
B.J. loved spending time with his wife and all their animals on their little piece of heaven, loved to hunt, fish and even do a little team roping.
B.J. made everyone that was around him feel loved, he was a simple man and lived a simple life.His glass was always more than half full.
He is survived by his wife Tammy and all their four legged kids, sisters Suzanne, Sherri and Staci.Brother in laws who were more like brothers, Danny Radcliff (Carmen) and Randy Radcliff, father in law Billy Radcliff who he loved like a father and many nieces and nephews who he loved equally.
