Carole Ann Niejadlik, beloved sister, friend, and neighbor, passed away peacefully surrounded by loved ones and with tremendous support from the caring people at Northland Hospice.

Born to Arthur J. and Elizabeth E. (Cicci) in LaSalle, Illinois, Carole grew up in a loving family with her siblings Eugene A. J. Cicci, Gerald D. A. Cicci, Elaine M. T. Cicci, and Mary Elizabeth T. Cicci.  Her childhood values of kindness, family devotion, and faith guided her throughout her life.  Carole graduated from Northern Illinois University with her teaching credential.  Carole was married to Robert Niejadlik in 1962 at St. Cyril's in Tucson, Arizona.  Robert and Carole moved to Flagstaff, Arizona a few years later.

A life-long Catholic, Carole was a devoted member of the San Francisco de Asis Catholic Community, where she found strength, peace, and purpose in her faith.

Carole was also an animal lover who always had cats and delighted in caring for them. She loved her community in Coconino Estates, where she lived for over 50 years, forming close friendships with her neighbors. She was known for her warm conversations and her thoughtful habit of sharing treats with their dogs during her daily walks.

Her spirit, kindness, and generosity touched everyone she met.  She will be remembered for her caring heart, her faith, and her independent and resilient spirit.

Carole is preceded in death by her parents, brothers Eugene and Jerry, and her sister Elaine.  She is survived by her sister Mary Beth and many dear friends who will carry her memory in their hearts.

Services will be held on Thursday, October 16 at San Francisco de Asis Catholic Church. The rosary will be prayed at 10:00 a.m., followed by Mass at 10:30 a.m. Interment will follow in LaSalle, Illinois.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made in Carole's name to the San Francisco de Asis Catholic Community, Northland Hospice, or to a local animal shelter of your choice.
