Cathy L. Cobbin of Rimrock died Saturday June 27 at Flagstaff Medical Center.She was the wife of Philip Cobbin.

Born in Torrington Connecticut on October 13, 1954 to her late parents John and Margaret Hislop.In Torrington she met her future husband Philip when they were both 17 and were Married in the Roman Catholic Church at Goshen Connecticut on June 13, 1980.In life Cathy was employed as a financial analyst most recently for the United States Geological Survey's Astro Geology Science Center in Flagstaff.In addition to the Science Center she was previously employed with Westinghouse at the Marine Division at Sunnyvale California where she worked in support of defense programs including the MX missile, submarine launched cruise missile and early rail gun development.Her civic activities including elective service as member and chairman of the Town of Canaan New Hampshire Budget Committee.

She was an active hiker, rock and ice climber and mountaineer.She enjoyed traveling by car and by foot to see America having visited 49 of the 50 states.Cathy was active in the Masonic fraternal and charitable organizations:Order of Eastern Star and Order of the Amaranth.She enjoyed knitting and crocheting gifts as well as gardening and taking care of her dogs, cats and birds.

She leaves her Husband Philip Cobbin of Rimrock, brothers Thomas Hislop and his wife Cheryl of Rimrock, John Hislop and his wife Maria of Barkhamstead Connecticut, sister Sister Susan Maule and her husband Tom of SandisfieldMassachusetts.She also leaves her brother and sister in law James and Alice Cobbin of Pasadena California, Sister in law Kathryn Cobbin also of Pasadena and Robert and Jaunita Cobbin of California.

Funeral services were held Thursday July 2 her Husband's birthday at Lozano's Flagstaff Mortuary.She is interred in the masonic section of the cemetery at Flagstaff.
