Cifredo R. Gutierrez, 90, passed away peacefully in Eagar, AZ on August 18, 2018.He was born in Gallup, NM on August 19, 1927 to Aurelio and Andreita Gutierrez.He worked as a fire control officer at the Mount Elden fire ranger district for 39 years.Cifredo was married to Marsha Gutierrez, who passed away in 2008.

Cifredo is survived by his daughters Louise (Steve, deceased) Aragon (NM), Barbara (Jose) Cazares (Flagstaff), and JoAnn (Raymond H.) Lucero (Springerville, AZ); four grandchildren Gerard R. Gutierrez, Christine Cazares, Cindy Cazares and Jason Aragon; two great grandchildren Kamri Gutierrez and Nickolaus Cazares; sisters Juanita Foster (CA), Charlotte (Kenneth) Vass (MN), Rosie (Mac) McDaniel (Phoenix, AZ); and his brother Steven (Mary Alice) Gutierrez (Phoenix, AZ).

Cifredo is preceded in death by his parents, his brother Jesse Gutierrez (Winslow, AZ), and his three sisters Frances Marquez (CA), Lucy Lucky (Flagstaff, AZ) and Cecelia Davis (CA).

A funeral mass will be held on Saturday, August 25, 2018 at 11:00 am at Our Lady of Guadalupe Chapel, 224 S. Kendrick St, Flagstaff.Burial will follow at Citizens Cemetery.
