On December 30, 2012 David M. Gracia, age79 while surrounded by all his children, grandchildren andgreat grandchildren during a surprise Christmas visit in Page, Az. meets the end of his life journey.
David was born in Gallup, New Mexico January 29, 1933 met his wife Vennie Lobato in Flagstaff, Az in 1954 after serving his country in the U.S Air Force.
He is survived by his wife Vennie, 5 children, Debra of Flagstaff, Az, Susan and Sean of Page, Az, Lonnie of Rio Rancho, NM, Mark of Florence, Az, sister Rachael of Austin, Tx, 17 grandchildren, 16 great grandchildren, many nephews, nieces and fiends.
He was preceded in death by his parents Frank Gracia and Micaela Robles of Gallup, NM, his sister Teresa, 2 brothers Alfred, Robert and 2 sons David Jr. and Kenny.
He retired from Navajo Generating Station, Page, Az ,15 years, was a business owner of Tin Shop Sheet Metal, Page, Az, 10 years, business owner-silversmith Little Nugget Indian jewelry 5 years, Flagstaff, Az,worked for Lockheed and Douglas Aircraft, Burbank, California as an aircraft mechanic, sheet metal fabricator10 years.
He was an Elk member for 30 years.He loved to hunt, fish, boat on Lake Powell, bowl, woodworking and passionate about music.
He was a hard working, dedicated husband, father and grandfather.He will be missed but not forgotten. We celebrate his life and his footprints of memories.
The Holy Rosary will be on January 6, 2013 at 7:00 pm.The Funeral Mass will be on January 7, 2013 at 10:00 both will be held at Our Lady of Guadalupe Chapel, 224 Kendrick, Flagstaff, Az, burial will follow at Cavalry Cemetery.
