Dina Rampelotto Matus, age 78, of Seligman, AZ died on Tuesday, April 10, 2012 at the Flagstaff Medical Center.She was born on December 18, 1933 in a little town named Santa Cruz in Sonora Mexico to José and Palmira (Forrer) Rampelotto.Her parents were immigrants from Europe.Dina was a beloved mother, nana, sister, aunt and friend.She was a very hard worker and she learned to cook Mexican food, including her famous tortillas, from one of her childhood friends.Dina had a very gentle, loving, patient and beautiful way.Her casa was always open.Her children and grandchildren were the apple of her eye and her friendships lasted a lifetime.Dina was also known for her story telling ability.She kept her family and friends hanging on her every word with childhood memories and her life experiences.
Dina is preceded in death by her parents and two brothers, Adolfo Forrer and Gino Rampelotto.She is survived by her husband, Ricardo Matus of Seligman, daughter, Vilma (Jesse) Cabrera of Flagstaff, sons, Ricardo (Kim) Matus of Sneads Ferry, NC, Gino (Paula) Matus of Flagstaff, sisters, Vilma (Angel) Delgadillo of Seligman, brother, William Rampelotto of Globe, AZ and 6 grandchildren.
A visitation will be held on Saturday, April 14, 2012 at 9:30 am continued with the holy rosary being recited at 10:30 am followed by funeral mass at 11:00 am, all at St. Francis Catholic Church in Seligman.Burial will conclude at Seligman Cemetery.
