Edwina (Williams) Johnson was born April 26th, 1932, to John L. Williams and Letha Mingo in Foxworth, Mississippi. She grew up with her grandmother Betsy Mingo. She later met and fell in love with Isaac Johnson whom she joined in marriage. At the beginning of this union three children were born. They then moved to Flagstaff, Arizona in 1958 with her father John L. Williams. Three more children were later born into this union. Edwina worked as a cook, cleaning empty homes for Brannen homes and as a childcare provider. She loved hunting and fishing and going camping until her health no longer allowed her to do so. Edwina was also a member of The Eastern Star.
Edwina was preceded in death by her husband Isaac Johnson, son Julius Johnson, daughter Betsy Johnson, stepdaughter Annie Lee Newson, stepson Joe Johnson. Sisters Ella Wea Stepney, Nervia Lee Coleman, Ruby Lee Mingo, Deborah Coleman. Brothers Sunny Bell and Johnny Lee Williams. Parents John L. Williams and Letha Mingo. Grandsons Bryan Dulaney and Bernard Richie. Daughter-in-Law Nancy Johnson and adopted son Bill Trimble.
She leaves to mourn and cherish her memory sons Cartee Johnson, Bernard (Paulette) Johnson, and step son Robert (Michelle) Johnson. Daughters Cynthia Marie Black, Mary Johnson, and adopted daughter Nora (Nene) Daugherty. Sisters Darleen Roberts and Chris Burks. Fourteen grandchildren, eight great-grandchildren, great-grandson Zy’heir Stewart, and a host of cousins, nieces, nephews, and friends who will deeply miss her.
