Our beloved Fernandez (Junior) was a son, brother, and a father.  Fernandez Moises Tapia Jr. was born in San Jose, New Mexico on September 10, 1954, to Fernandez Tapia Sr. and Ida Bustamante. He passed away peacefully on May 19th, 2024, surrounded by his family.

He is preceded in death by his father Fernandez Tapia Sr. and his sister Ernestine (Tina) Tapia.  He is survived by his brothers Cecilio (Shirley) Tapia, Alex (Bernadette) Tapia, sisters Clara Tapia and Emily Tapia, his ex-wife Gloria Valencia, his two sons Moses Tapia and Benjamine Tapia, six grandchildren and two great grandchildren.

He worked at Southwest Forest Industries for several years, retired as heavy equipment operator from Coconino County.  He enjoyed working on old cars and riding his motorcycle.

Memorial services will be held at San Francisco de Asis on July 11th, 2024.  Rosary will begin at 10am followed be Mass at 10:30am. There is a Potluck to follow services in the Saint Bonaventure Hall in the Parish Center.
