Gary B Selig, 80 years old, of Flagstaff, AZ passed away on October 6, 2022. Gary was born in Perris, CA, and grew up in Southern California. He spent more than 25 years in the California Department of Forestry retiring in 2000 as Mobile Equipment Manager. He loved his work and the firefighters he worked alongside of.

Gary was one of the best mechanics around. Even though he had hearing loss he could listen to a car and tell you what was wrong with it without even popping the hood. He was a Canyon Country Model T Club member, served on the Summit Fire Board, and was President of the Motor City Studs.

He is survived by his daughter Joy (Brian) Petersen and son George (Tyra) Selig. As well as four grandchildren Jeremy Hayden Petersen, Trever Scott Petersen, Cody Wyatt Selig, and Cheyenne Judy Irene Pauline Selig, Tristan (Emily Mull) Bacoch, and Tiffani (Jeff) Knowls. He was a proud Grandpa!!

Gary is preceded in death by his parents Virginia and George Selig and his wife Judy I Hayden.

Gary loved working on cars, fire trucks, tractors, old gas pumps, his dogs, his grandchildren, football, cheese, and macaroni salad! He gave us many good laughs and many stories to share. You are invited to come share a story and memory on Friday, December 30, 2022, from 2:00-4:00 pm as the family gathers to honor Gary at Grandpa Geezer's Garage, 7795 E. Carmel, Flagstaff, AZ 86004.
