George E. Witsell, 87, of Scottsdale, Arizona passed away on Monday October 31st in his residence surrounded by his family.

George was born in Toledo, OH on July 24, 1935. George and his family moved to Colorado where he grew up and went to college. After graduating from the University of Colorado Boulder he moved to Arizona and worked at Motorola until his retirement.

He met his wife Maryann at Motorola, and they raised their family in Scottsdale. The devoted couple were together for 59 years. George was a devoted and kind family man and was able to find many days to camp, fish and hunt.

He leaves a lasting positive impact on the lives of many friends and family. George is survived by his two sisters (Rosa and Margaret), his daughter Brenda Strohmeyer, son in law Scott Strohmeyer and two grandchildren Jordan and Joshua.

Celebration of Life will take place at Rattlesnake Cove, Bartlett Lake on January 8, 2023, at 12:00pm.
