Irene Quiroz passed away on August 8, 2018 in her daughter's home surrounded by love and family.She was 76 years old.

Irene was born in Flagstaff, Arizona on September 18, 1941.She was born to Juan Quiroz and Liboria Garcia Quiroz.Irene had a long history in Flagstaff.She began working at a very young age in the housekeeping industry, she also had a short career at W.L. Gore before moving to NAU.She enjoyed working with the Archuleta family in the ice cream business and at Flagstaff's Comfort Inn as a breakfast host.Irene raised her children in a loving, caring home where her kids were free to pursue their interests and dreams always with her support.

All of the Quiroz children loved Mom's/Auntie Irene's Barbie clothes and wonderful crocheted blankets.Everyone loved Irene's sense of humor and her laid back approach to life.

Irene is survived by her 6 children, Ramona Gonzalez, Stephanie Warner, Freddie, Javier, Jaime and Orlando Avila and 6 grandchildren, Josh Lester, Freddie, Alyssa, Orlando Jr., Michelle and Frankie Avila.

Irene was preceded in death by her niece Christina Anaya, sister Jennie Wahl, and nephew Fernando Armijo.

Irene's life will be celebrated, Friday, August 24, 2018 at Our Lady of Guadalupe Chapel, 224 S. Kendrick St., with a Rosary at 9:30 am and a memorial mass at 10:30 am.A reception will follow in the church basement.
