Jeffrey MacLeod Carolla of Polacca, Arizona went to be with the Lord at 5pm on July 25th, 2013 from complications from a heart infection. He was 57 years old. Jeffrey was a Captain in the U.S. Public Health Service and was serving as a dentist at the Hopi Health Center for the past four years. He will be remembered as a generous, hardworking leader within the community, the Indian Health Service, and his family. He was a warm friend, colleague, and father who lived life to the fullest. He loved to ski, hike, scuba dive, and traveled the world seeking adventure. Jeffrey is survived by his two daughters, Lindsay Schumaker of Laramie, Wyoming and Samantha Carolla of Lake Oswego, Oregon, his granddaughter, Anna Schumaker and son-in-law, Brant Schumaker, both of Laramie, and his significant other, Pamela Freeman of Flagstaff, Arizona. He was preceded in death by his parents, John and Iris Carolla and his brother, Jack Carolla. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Nature Conservancy in memory of Jeffrey Carolla.
