Obituary

Joan Brown Schumann, 78, lost her courageous battle with cancer on May 30, 2011 in Flagstaff, AZ.

Mrs. Schumann was born in Wabeno, WI on November 3, 1932. She owned Flagstaff Precision Dental Lab for the past 10 years. Joan was a wonderful friend and mother with a great spirit and sense of humor. She was very loving and giving and she said the best times of her life were raising her children. She loved her family, friends, her pets, hiking, dancing, and swimming, church, Bible study, volunteering, books and traveling. Her travels included a cruise to Alaska, a river trip down the Colorado River, Japan, China, Germany, England, Scotland, and throughout the southwest. She was an inspiration to all who knew her.

She is survived by her husband, Allan Schumann Sr., 6 children; Nancy (Harry) Bruch, Daniel (Chris) Brown, David (Jean) Brown, Dale (Nora) Brown, Judy (Pete) Weiss, Sandy (Eric) Roessler, stepson, Allan Schumann, Jr. 16 grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren, sisters, Sally and Carol, brothers Richard Edward, and Daniel.

She is preceded in death by her parents Ed and Bertha Haasch and her first husband Lester Brown.

A Memorial Service will be held Saturday, June 11, 2011 at 11:00 at the Peace Lutheran Church, 3430 N. Fourth Street, Flagstaff, AZ.
