Karen Elaine Beeson, age 72, passed away on December 20, 2025, in Flagstaff, Arizona, where she lived for more than 40 years. Karen felt deeply connected to Flagstaff and to the natural beauty of northern Arizona, which she considered her home.

Born in Keams Canyon, Arizona, to David Beeson and Florence Henderson, Karen dedicated over 30 years of her life to working as a caregiver for individuals with physical and mental challenges. Her work reflected her gentle nature, patience, and unwavering commitment to helping people. For Karen, caring for others was not just a profession, but a meaningful expression of who she was.

Karen loved Flagstaff and found comfort in its surrounding landscapes. She especially enjoyed hiking and taking drives along the forest roads near the San Francisco Peaks. Family and friends remember her as sweet, kind, wonderful, and simply a special person with a beautiful smile that left a lasting impression.

She was an active member of the Cancer Support Community of Flagstaff, where she formed close friendships and found encouragement and support during her fight with cancer. Her faith was also important to her. Karen attended Christ's Church of Flagstaff for many years and more recently became part of Grace Community Church.

Karen is survived by her son, David Beeson, who was the center of her life and whom she loved deeply.

A memorial service will be held on Saturday, December 27, 2025, at 10:00 a.m. at Trinity Heights United Methodist Church, Fellowship Hall, 3600 North Fourth Street, Flagstaff, AZ. A reception will follow the service.

In accordance with her wishes, Karen's ashes will be spread on the San Francisco Peaks and at Sunlight Baptist Mission at Second Mesa, AZ—places that held special meaning to her.

Karen will be remembered for her kindness, compassion, and quiet strength. She will be greatly missed by everyone who knew her.
