Kimberly Corona

Kimberly Corona passed in the comfort of her home on Tuesday, June 30th. Kim was born to Veronica (Roni) and Warren Jones on July 3rd, 1961 in Ojai, California

Kim was the oldest of 4 children, she had 2 younger sisters and a younger brother. Kim moved to Tucson, Arizona in the 70’s with her family where she was in commercials and her family had fun playing characters in her grandpa King’s show on a local television station. A few years later Kim and her family moved to Cottonwood, Arizona where they owned a Pizza Hut and she met her first husband. Kim had two daughters from her first marriage, Andrea and Amber. She moved to Flagstaff before her youngest daughter Andrea was born in 1985 and made flagstaff her home until she passed.

Kim met her husband Richard Corona in August of 1992 and they were married for an incredible 31 years. She deeply loved her husband and the beautiful life they built together, filled with family, community and adventures over the years. They loved being active together, taking family trips, going to concerts and spoiling their fur babies.

Kim loved meeting new people and as a server she met and touched the lives of many people in the Flagstaff community with her big smile and cheerful personality. She had a great community of friends that she met while working at the Northern Pines bartending and serving. She loved to run and was a half marathon runner, enjoyed mountain biking with her husband Richard (and even made it all the way to the top of Mt. Elden), swimming with her grandkids and she taught step aerobics for many years. She loved art and anything to do with crafts. She made so many beautiful things that she loved to share with her friends and family. She loved spending time with her sister Shannon (sissy), joking and watching horror movies. One of her greatest joys was her grandchildren and she was so proud to be a grandma. She loved to visit her grandkids and daughter in Idaho and spend summers with them.

Kim is preceded in death by her mother Roni, father Warren and oldest daughter Amber.

She is survived by her husband Richard Corona and fur babies ( Pinky, Molly and Blonde), her youngest daughter Andrea (Andi) and son in law Ryan, her 5 grandchildren Evan, Leah and Michael Inchausti, Rena, Noah Corona and great grandbaby Bailey. She is also survived by her younger siblings, Shannon McCray, Evie Sliger and Scotty Jones.

To respect the wishes of Kim a memorial service will not be held. There will be a private celebration of life for her family.
