Our beloved wife, mother, grandmother and friend, Margaret G. Montoya passed away on Saturday, July 27, 2013 surrounded by her loving family and friends.

She was born in Williams, AZ to Albert and Frances (Griego) Luna. The family moved to Flagstaff, and while attending Flagstaff High School she met her love and husband, the late Joe C. Montoya. Together they raised 3 children Gloria, Joseph and Rosemary.

Margaret was active in the community being a member of LULAC and the Coordinating Council on Mexican-American Affairs. She was a very loving and giving person. No one left her home hungry. She was known as the best tamale maker. She enjoyed going to the movies, lunch and hosting poker parties.

She is survived by her daughters Gloria (Albert) Rosemary and grandsons Julio and Joseph who were her pride and joy; sisters, Mary Alice (Pat) Chavez and Olivia (Richard) Fajardo, brother Albert Luna, Jr. numerous nieces and nephews, the Montoya family and her dog and companion Benny who was able to visit her in the hospital.

Margaret was preceded in death by her husband Joe and son Joseph (Joey), her parents Albert and Frances Luna and sisters, Grace Rodriguez and Virginia Martinez.

Services are scheduled for Wednesday July 31, 2013 at Our Lady of Guadalupe Chapel, 224 s. Kendrick; viewing starts at 9:00 am followed by the Holy Rosary at 10:00, and funeral mass at 11:00. Interment will be at Calvary Cemetery where she will be laid to rest next to her loving husband.
