Mark Brandon Nelson was born on January 3, 1985 and left home to the Lord on Saturday May 21, 2016 in Flagstaff, AZ, the town where he was born and raised.
Mark is survived by his children Natalie, Andrea, Clayton, Austin, and Ava, his mother Renee Lori (Cody) Nelson, sisters Renata (Jackie) Nelson, Elena (Nelson) Yazzie, Gailene (Cody) Eltsosie and Monica Nelson. He is preceded in death by his father Leroy Nelson.
Mark graduated from Coconino High School and soon after began working as an Union Ironworker then roofer.
Mark was a cowboy at heart who spent many years as a bull rider and recently became involved in team roping. He loved riding his horses and caring for his livestock.
Funeral services will be held in Flagstaff on Thursday, May 26, 2016 at Flag Naz Community Church, 3505 East Soliere Avenue starting at 9 am. Burial will be at Citizen's Cemetery followed by a reception at Flag Naz Community Church.
