Mary Yvonne St. John, of Flagstaff, AZ died February 7, 2012 at the Olivia White Hospice Home.She was 86 years old.Mary was born in Hamilton, Ontario, August 13, 1925 to Elmer and Gladys Moshier.She graduated from Western Michigan University with a degree in education and married Jack Carl St. John in 1947.She was an elementary school teacher for many years and taught on Air Forces bases all over the world.Her passions were her love for her family and of animals.
Mary is survived by her daughter, Jackie Smart of Flagstaff, son, Michael St. John of San Antonio, TX, 4 grandchildren, Jason Smart, Karla Hickman, Joshua St. John, Michelle McCallister and 9 great grandchildren.
Her humor and generous sweet, loving, hopeful presence will be missed by all who knew her.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Jack and her two brothers, Michael Moshier of Michigan and William Moshier of Pennsylvania.A memorial service will be held at the Episcopal Church of the Epiphany, 423 N. Beaver Street in Flagstaff on Saturday, March 24, 2012 at 1:00 pm.
In lieu of flowers the family suggests donations be made to the Olivia White Hospice Home, P.O. Box 997, Flagstaff, AZ86002.If you do wish to send flowers, her favorites were roses and sunflowers.
