Obituary

Mathew "Matt" Cole- dedicated husband, father of two, and friend of many - passed away unexpectedly on September 24, 2022.He was 52 years old. The family is deeply saddened by his sudden death.

Mathew was born on September 26, 1969, in Muncie, Indiana. After graduating from Randolph Southern High School, he went on to Ball State University and Butler University, where he graduated as a pharmacist in 1995. He moved to Miami in 2001 and later relocated to Phoenix in 2018.

Mathew loved his twin boys more than life itself. In 2011, he made Anabel a mother, when they decided to get married, build a family and share a life together. He loved football, his motorcycle, and cooking. You could always count on him to partake in having a big glass of wine or an IPA beer with you. He was a very active member at Mountain Park Church and enjoyed volunteering every month with Hope for the Homeless and Student Community Outreach. He was planning his first mission trip to Honduras in April2023.

Mathew is survived by his wife, Anabel Alvarez-Cole; his twin sons Joshua and Dylan; his mother, Luetta; his father, Larry; his stepmom, Cher; his sisters, Andrea, and Ariana; his half-brother, Jon; and his stepsiblings, Jeff, and Jama. He is also survived by his beloved nephews and nieces, and his uncle Terry, who inspired him to become a pharmacist. We will all miss him more than words can say.

A service of remembrance will be held on Friday, October 28,2022, at Mountain Park Church, 16461 S 48th St. Phoenix, AZ 85048, at 5 pm.

There are few lights that were as genuine and inviting as Matt's. He made everyone feel sincerely appreciated and the love for his family remains a shining devotion of an abbreviated life well lived. Anyone who knew Mathew knew that he was the most loving husband, father, sibling, and son a family could ask for. He shared this same love with his church community, his friends, and coworkers. He was truly a peacemaker and was always a source of positivity.

Mathew loved fiercely and deeply, and we take comfort in knowing that he is now at peace in heaven surrounded by light.
