Melvin John Kirker was born on July 27, 1952. He passed into eternity on July 6, 2021. His place of birth, his family and other details of his life are not known to friends. What is known is that Mel (as he was known to friends) proudly served his country in the United States Navy and United States Marine Corp., from February 12, 1971 through September 30, 1993. Mel was married twice but had no children. He worked several years for the Arizona Department of Corrections as a Correctional Service Officer and the Armorer for the TSU at the Arizona State Prison Complex in Winslow, Arizona.

Mel was deeply influenced by his mom's faith in the Lord Jesus Christ whom he acknowledged as his God and Savior. He is preceded in death by his Dad, his Mom, and his brother Peter. Mel was a loyal and caring friend. He is missed already.
