Obituary

Pearl Bessie Huston, 97, of Camp Verde and formally of Flagstaff, died on January 31, 2011 at her home in Camp Verde.She was born on July 27, 1913 in Jewel Ridge, Virginia to Joseph R. and Nancy (Cantrell) Pruitt.Mrs. Huston was one of eight children born on the family farm where she and her family worked for many years.She met and married her husband Jesse Huston and moved to Arizona in 1978 where she took care of the family home.Mrs. Huston was an active member of the Timberline Fire Department Auxiliary.She has lived in Camp Verde since 1994 with her daughter and family.

She is survived by her daughter, Bobbie (Duane) Tennant of Camp Verde, son, Jimmy (Arlene) Houston of Macarthur, WV, sister, Avis Boyd of Virginia, brother, Joseph Pruitt of Virginia, also 6 grandchildren, 11 great grandchildren 3 great-great grandchildren.Mrs. Huston is preceded in death by her parents, her husband Jesse Huston, Sr. son, Jesse Houston, Jr. 2 brothers and 3 sisters.

A visitation will be held on Friday, February 4, 2011 at 8:00 am with a funeral service to follow at 9:00 am at Lozano's Flagstaff Mortuary, 2545 N. Fourth St.She will be buried next to her husband at Citizens Cemetery Veterans Section, 1300 S. San Francisco St.
