On September 21, 2023, Richard J Walsh III passed away and rode off peacefully from his Flagstaff ranch on to his next adventure. Uncle Dick is already missed dearly by all his family and friends. Born in 1957, a second-generation Arizona native, Dick was the son of the late Peter and Margaret Walsh.

After graduating from Brophy Prep in 1975, Dick soon found his new home and friends in Flagstaff where he spent most of the rest of his life. He was an avid outdoorsman who loved horseback riding on the Arizona Trail, river running on the Colorado river, obtaining his pilot's license and carpentry.

His greatest love was meeting and marrying Janet Sheridan in 1999 and their life together in Spokane and Flagstaff. He is survived by wife Janet, his siblings, Peter Walsh Jr (Karen) and Statia Whitis, his grandchildren, Lauren and Sam Woller, and his daughter and son-in-law, Heather and Scott Woller of Spokane, Washington. He'll be missed by all his nieces and nephews and his loving cousins, the Heberns.

Dick enjoyed a career in fire service, paramedics, office furniture sales and lastly geo technical testing. He was able to enjoy retirement and RV trips for a brief time before his cancer diagnosis.

He was famous for telling great stories and creating new stories with family and friends. We're so happy you didn't have to suffer any longer and know you are holding court telling tales with the family and friends who went before you. We know what you would have said on the way out, "Blue Skies." We'll never forget you Uncle Dick!
