It is with great sadness that Bob entered into God's healing hands on January 26, 2024, from complications of influenza.

Robert John Sterling was born in Mansfield, Ohio, the 5th child of John and Irene Sterling. He was a miracle baby as he was not expected to be a live birth.

He was a United States Army veteran. He was a long-standing employee of the dining services at Northern Arizona University employed by Sodexo. He was a talented sous chef with Sodexo. He had a rough exterior with a heart of caring for those who were suffering in life.

He is survived by his sisters Nancy Trimble (Hugh), Linda Roberts, and brothers Dennis Sterling (Lynn) and James Sterling (Judy) as well as many nieces, nephews, and grand nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his parents and grandparents and his companion dog, Ginger.

Private services will be held by the family in Ohio in the future with plans to bury his ashes at the Dayton Veteran's Administration National Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made in his name to your favorite charity.
