Robert J. Wong passed away peacefully on November 26,2023. Bob was born in Flagstaff, on April 8, 1938. He graduated from Flagstaff High and continued his education at the University of Arizona, earning a Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering. He moved to Los Angeles where he met his wife, Evelyn. He began his engineering career in the aerospace industry but then obtained a job at Bechtel Corporation in the Bay area. After a number of years working San Francisco, Bechtel offered him a 2-year assignment in Saudi Arabia as a Chief Electrical Engineer which he accepted and moved the family there. While overseas the family was able to travel extensively in both Europe and Asia enjoying various cultures and sights.

Bob had always wanted to return to Flagstaff as he considered it "home" and was able to move back in the early 1980's. During his many years in Flagstaff, he started a solar energy business, then worked at Northern Arizona University in the Operations and Maintenance Dept. He finished his engineering career as an independent engineering consultant working on numerous projects in Northern Arizona.

Bob enjoyed fishing, camping, and music, but above all he was an avid golfer. He was able to play in both local and out of state tournaments and regularly traveled to play on courses that challenged him.

Bob is survived by his wife of 58 years, Evelyn, son Garrett, daughter Leanne, and granddaughter Hannah.
