Salvador G. Cortez, 89, born in Flagstaff, AZ, preceded in death by his wife Mary, passed away peacefully surrounded by family, on March 3, 2016. Salvador worked for Stone Corporation, formerly Southwest Forest Industries for 42 years as a lumber grader, retiring as lumber Quality Control Supervisor. Salvador was a US Army veteran having served in WWII. Salvador is survived by his son Ernest (Diane) Cortez, daughters Carolyn (Richard) Cortez-Lopez, Barbara (Jose) Cortez-Rodriguez, Laurie Anne Cortez, four grandchildren, 3 great grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews. Services will be held at Our Lady of Guadalupe Chapel, 224 S. Kendrick St., Flagstaff, Arizonaon Wednesday, March 9, 2016. Rosary will be said at 9:30 a.m., Mass at 10:00 a.m., followed by burial services at Calvary Catholic Cemetery.
