Shannon Atwood, 78, of Flagstaff, Arizona, passed away on November 24,2021after a long fight with cancer.

She was predeceased by her parents, William and Grace Grigg and her younger sister, Janet Taylor and brother Michael. She is survived by her husband, Tom Atwood, and her three daughters, Grace, Elease, and Kristie. Shannon also left behind three grandchildren and 4 great-grandchildren.

Shannon was an avid world traveler, gifted artist, photographer, genealogist, writer and homemaker.

She had worked at several jobs over the course of her life, starting out at Sperry-Rand, then spent time as a classroom volunteer at Weitzel Elementary. She later started her own business,SilkTree, but most of all Shannon was a devoted wife and mother who was known by all as a very kind, generous, and loving soul.

She graduated from West High in Phoenix, Arizona where she met and fell in love with her husband Tom. They have spent more than 60 wonderful years together. She also attended Northern Arizona University for several years working towards a degree in Fine Arts.

Thefamilywill be holding a small, private Celebration of Lifeat a later date.
