Shirley Jean Simkins Pera of Flagstaff, AZ passed Monday September 8, 2025 at the Peaks, A Senior Living Community after a long fight with CHF and Alzheimer's Disease.
Born in Jacksonville, IL, August 11, 1938 to Freda DeFreites and Paul Watkins.
Shirley is survived by her daughter Shirl Simkins and son in law Robert Lindinger; her son Larry Simkins Jr and daughter in law Lisa Simkins; grandaughter Brooke Valocchi-Duarte and spouse Carlos Duarte; her granddaughter Sara Simkins; and her two great-grandchildren Jackson Duarte and Alexandra Duarte.
The funeral services will be Monday September 22, 10:30am at San Francisco de Asis Catholic Church, the rosary will be said at 10:00am prior to the funeral service A reception will follow at Our Lady of Guadalupe basement.
