Obituary

William "Bill" Baca was born to William Gurule Baca and Sophia Saavedra Baca in Flagstaff, AZ 1932.He died Saturday, July 13, 2019 a few days shy of his 87th birthday.He lived all of his life in Flagstaff and served in the US Army. He worked for the Navajo Army Depot, then later for the US Forest Service.

He was preceded in death by his parents (William and Sophie Baca), his brother Ed Baca, sister Lena Chavez, and grandson Jason Garcia.He is survived by his wife Herminia Rodriguez Baca, daughters Toni (Roy) Sepulveda, Diana Shull, Barbara Garcia, Linda Baca and son Edward Baca. Grandsons Jake Garcia, Chad Garcia, Nicholas Bierner and great granddaughter Madison Bierner.He will be remembered for being a man of strong principles and had two sayings – Always do the right thing and Always do your best.

Services will be on Friday, July 19, 2019 at Our Lady of Guadalupe Chapel beginning with a Rosary at 9:30 a.m. and a memorial mass at 10:30.Inurnment with Veterans Honors will be at Calvary Cemetery following the mass.
